Lets win the 'Most Active Country' competition

Postby slamdonut on 2010-2-7 19:38

Hi all,

Not until now have UK based individuals had a forum of their own in this game!

I came across this site and started playing in season 7 when I was looking for free game applications for my phone, and soon became hooked on the online game and have enjoyed watching it get progressively better with new updates happening on a more regular basis. (I started in league 1.1, lol, we now are up to 3.4, just shows how it has grown, i had no idea until i started looking)

This is clearly one of them, which is offering a substantial reward to the country (not individual) who can turn this game into something more vibrant. Ive played a few online games, and generally end up having to give them up due to the vast amount of time needed to keep it going but apart from buying new players and watching the market closely, I have found this to be less time consuming but equally absorbing.

It is clear to me that Lithunia and Latvia lead the way in terms of users on this site, but quantity of numbers isnt what this is about. Read the rules properly and you will see the competition is to do with % of active users, so with leagues 1-3 in uk with 24 teams in 1 an 2, and 48 teams in league 3 )(total 96 teams), means if we had 80 out of 96 teams becoming active in forums etc then we would have an 83% chance of winning in comparison to say 200 from 2000 users being active in a different country (10%).........well ok, ive only had a quick look at the rules so i might be way of the mark, but Im happy to share my experience of the game so if your a newbie looking for advice, a beginner learning a few of the aspects of the game, or just generally want a chat for the sake of winning this tournament get posting..it only takes 5 mins to write a line!

Look forward to hearing from you. PS Anyone fancy creating a tournament where we break it down to the 4 Nations...Scotland (clearly the best, lol), England, Wales and united Ireland?

Hello,
I found this basketball manager the same way as Dave while looking for new aplications for my phone.I started playing it in season 8.
I personally think that bballzone is the best basketball manager that you can find online and its has improved a lot since the day i started playing it.
By the way i'd like add that the amount of real players in the uk is only 20-30.so winning this contest is kinda impossible. LOL

all up for the tournament between the nations i think it would be a good idea.

Very true about the amount of users we have very lttle and the little we do have dont particularly like to talk about basketball or the game as they feel they will give to much away no doubt.

I think we still need more active users to make a tournament or win most active country prize. But our country is really not bad compared to other's. Ofcourse we're not as good as Lithuania or Latvia, but in the future we can. The first thing we need is to get more users and especially active. More UK leagues, mores money from donations- better players. So lets invite new players.

Invites did not work - one person I know signed up but became inactive because he prefered another basketball sim he plays.

The lack of community feel is a real killer here.
