There is a big problem with tactical fouls - it normally takes 4-5 seconds to make a tactical foul, in some cases - up to 7s. http://www.bballzone.net/lt/Rungtynes-c ... 137441.htm 4Q, def reb at 0.13, foul at 0.06. Overtime: 0.10 made foul shots, a tactical foul only at 0.03. Other tactical fouls are made in 4-5s. I suggest reducing the time to 1-2s, with 4s at the longest. It would be more realistic and would make comeback a possibility.

Another improvement could be changing a place where teams inbound. Normally, in the last two minutes of the game, teams inbound from midcourt after timeouts. Tho we don't have timeouts, we might use this idea to inbound from midcourt as well - it would allow to make a shot in 2-3s after the inbound pass.

If previous suggestion is implemented - intentionally missed fouls must be considered as well. If team wins by 3 or more points, with 6-7s or less to go, the player could intentionally miss a last FT, in order to make an opponent dribble the whole court and burn time.

Last but not the least, inability to make a shot when losing with a minute to go. Probably the second most annoying thing after slow tactical fouls. http://www.bballzone.net/lt/Rungtynes-c ... 137429.htm 1.22 left in 4Q down by 1, no shot in 24s.

It took 18 seconds to make a tactical foul. 18s!!! Glad the difference was too high to come back, but if it happened in a close game, it would simply ruin it.

Before the substitution, there was a proper rotation. Etch positions - SG/-/-, normal; Morkus - SG/SF/-, important; En - SF/PF/SG, normal. So before the sub, En and Morkus played in their second, Etch in his first position. After the sub, En, Morkus played in their first positions, while Etch played in a position he cannot play at all, as he is a PG :D So, instead of letting all three players play at their best, the sub made one player play well below his abilities. By the way, Bakstys had positions PF/C, and he played at a center, was not subbed, and En was the only other player who could play as a PF.

It took 19s to make 4 intentional fouls. In a real game, a maximum of 8s would be used, but normally, around 4-6s.

En played as a PF (pos: SF/PF/SG), Bakstys was subbed in as a SF (pos: C/PF/SF). Why wasn't he subbed in as a PF initially? Two players played 1min in odd positions.
Going further, En is fouled out.

Morkus continues at SG (pos:SG/SF/-, important), Etc (pos: SG/-/-) steps in at SF. Why Morkus is not moved to SF, as Etch is forced to play in a position where his skills deteriorates? I think it has to do sth with his status "important", but I want him to start from bench and finish a game in starting 5, I don't want him to stick to his first position especially if team suffers heavily. Maybe some other options should be included in player status (now unimportant, normal, important). Maybe adding don't foul when opponent attacks from good situation, play in the last minutes or some others could help clarify such situations?

Actually when working in this area I pay a lot of attention to real matches. Quite often it takes 3-5 seconds for players to make a foul. Sometimes even more.

Currently players start making tactical fouls only when it is less than 60s left till the end of match. The whole system of "match's end" is based on last 30 seconds and last 60 seconds - depending on result.

I changed a little bit - it will take about one second less to make tactical fouls in the end of match.
In the future we may be able to make bigger changes here but this is quite sensitive area of the match and we can't do "fast updates" there.

On another topic:
Please, in the future try to create a new topic for each suggestion. That way we can 'track' suggestions.
Currently substitutions in the end of match works this way:
"all players are substituted out and the best player for each position is selected - starting from PG".
Presently only teams' owners can eliminate this problem by having long bench with properly set positions.
